Archiving & Digital Preservation Policy
The American Journal of Science and Medical Research (AJSMR) is committed to keeping everything it publishes permanently available, even if the journal stops publishing or its website becomes unavailable.
Journal Archive
All issues of AJSMR since Volume 1 (2015) are permanently maintained and freely accessible through the journal's online archive at ajsmrjournal.com/archives.php, alongside the current issue. As an open access journal there is no embargo: all content is freely available from the date of publication.
Long-Term Preservation in Zenodo
The final published PDF of each article is deposited in Zenodo, the open research repository operated by CERN, and receives a permanent Digital Object Identifier (DOI). Zenodo stores files in CERN's data centre with multiple replicas and guarantees that records stay available for the lifetime of the repository. Each DOI will continue to resolve to the article even if the journal website changes.
Web Archiving
The journal website and article PDFs are also captured by the Internet Archive (Wayback Machine), providing an additional, independent copy.
Publisher Backups
The publisher keeps regular backups of the website, database and all published files, stored separately from the live web server.
Author Self-Archiving
Authors may deposit any version of their article (preprint, accepted manuscript or published version) in any institutional or subject repository without embargo, as set out in the Open Access, Copyright & Licensing Policy. This creates further independent copies of the journal's content.
Continuity of Access
If AJSMR stops publishing, Advaitha Innovative Research Association (AIRA) will keep the journal archive online for as long as possible. In any case, all published articles will remain available through their Zenodo DOIs, and through any repositories where authors have self-archived their work.
Discoverability
AJSMR articles can be found through Google Scholar and through DOI-based services. The journal lists indexing services on its website only after inclusion has been confirmed.
