Aims

The American Journal of Science and Medical Research (AJSMR) aims to publish high-quality, peer-reviewed research that advances knowledge in the pharmaceutical, medical and biological sciences, and to make that research freely and permanently available to scientists, clinicians, students, policy makers and the public. The journal gives researchers, including early-career researchers and those from developing regions, a fee-free platform to share original findings with the international scientific community.

Scope

AJSMR welcomes original, unpublished contributions in the following areas. Interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary work that connects these fields is especially encouraged.

Pharmaceutical Sciences

• Pharmacology, toxicology and pharmacokinetics
• Pharmaceutics, drug delivery and formulation science
• Pharmaceutical and medicinal chemistry, natural products and phytochemistry
• Pharmacognosy and ethnopharmacology
• Computer-aided drug design, molecular docking and cheminformatics

Medical and Health Sciences

• Clinical and experimental medicine
• Infectious diseases, virology, immunology and microbiology
• Endocrinology, metabolic disorders, diabetes and cardiovascular research
• Obstetrics, gynaecology and maternal health
• Oncology and cancer biology
• Public health, epidemiology and community medicine

Biological and Life Sciences

• Biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics and genomics
• Biotechnology, bioinformatics and computational biology
• Zoology, botany, physiology and animal science
• Ecology, environmental biology, biodiversity and conservation
• Agricultural and plant sciences, horticulture and soil biology

Article Types

AJSMR publishes Original Research Articles, Review Articles and Mini-Reviews, Short Communications, Research Notes, Opinions and Perspectives, and Book Reviews. See the Author Guidelines for requirements for each article type.

Out of Scope

Manuscripts that fall outside the fields listed above (for example, pure engineering, computer science without a biological or medical application, business or humanities) will be returned to authors without review so that they can submit to a more suitable journal without delay.

Audience

The journal serves academic researchers, clinicians, pharmacists, postgraduate students, and professionals in industry and government who work in the life, medical and pharmaceutical sciences.
